Today is Crossfit and I’m wearing Adidas. We are here at Crossfit Tooting kindly organized by my sister-in-law to take part in a Crossfit class for mums and bubs. They have a Post Natal classes as well as normal Crossfit Classes with WODs (workout of day).
I’m feeling a little worse for wear today as it was my nephew’s Christening yesterday and we spent the afternoon with Family and friends playing darts and drinking Champagne.
I am Crossfit level 1 trained and Crossfit kids trained. I’m a firm believer functional fitness and met-cons are one of the fastest most effective ways to get fit and loose body fat. I also believe in being functionally fit from a young age and continuing to be so as much as possible, this sets you up for the best life. It’s neat having the little ones watching and trying to copy us. I’m not saying we should all run around lifting tractor tires and 100 pound loads but we should maintain a level of fitness where running up stairs is not hard, carrying the shopping does not make you puffed and most importantly getting up off the toilet isn’t hard. All these movements are functional day to day stuff. Sitting on the toilet you are squatting on and off, going up stairs you are lunging these are important parts of life that need not be a strain on the body.
The atmosphere was brillant and every one was so friendly. I’ll be back next time I’m visiting my sister-in-law. Thanks for having us Crossfit Tooting. How cute is my little Nephew below, cruising with the other kids as we workout.
What Im wearing:
Todays gear I got from an outlet mall in Portsmouth called Gunwharf Quays. An outlet store is often a great way to pick up workout gear for a lower price. There’s similar Adidas gear below. The Asics shoes I’m wearing are fantastic for short sprints, met-con workouts and Bootcamps, new season below.
Have a great week
