It is the end of my 30 days of Bikram Yoga Challange at Bikram Yoga Bournemouth. It was the best experience and I felt a great sense of accomplishment for doing so. Would I do it again that’s a quick answer, YES! I loved it, the only thing I would do is cut my hair. If you are a beginner you can read my introduction to Bikram Yoga here.
This is how my month of September went with my 30 day Challenge of Bikram Yoga:
Day 1 – 5pm class – I am excited yet nervous and the only time I have to practice today is 5pm which is a ‘power hour’ that they say you should only do after about 10 classes GULP!
Day 2 – 10am yoga – note to self, do have a black coffee just before practice
Day 3 – 5pm practice – different instructor, he nearly killed me, I never want to go back.
Day 4 – 10am – Good class and have made a recipe for an Natural Electrolyte Drink which I’m loving and seems to help with the energy slump after class. I’m sleeping like a baby (I’ve never known why that is a saying, babies don’t sleep through the night!) but I seem to need less sleep.
Day 5 – 6pm – Power Hour Bikram – very proud that I made it to yoga on a Saturday night super chuffed with myself and Prawn laska for dinner YUM!
Day 6 – 6pm Class – Didn’t make it was to busy with friends at the local ice cream sundae place. Naughty Alys!
Day 7 – 12noon and 8pm – needed to do two classes because of my ice cream habit! I feel I have done nothing else today apart Bikram and wash my hair.
Day 8 – 10am – I’m starting to loss my nervousness and look forward to my practice and I’m getting better at some of the postures and can focus on my breathing a lot more which is making a world of difference to the class.
Day 9 – 10am class – I’m over washing my hair thinking about shaving my head! tried using dry shampoo, who was I kidding gross!
Day 10 – 5pm – It’s well done me!
Day 11 – My ovaries are trying to fall out. The couch and Netflex is all I could active today back to the world tomorrow.
Day 12 – 9am – Worst class ever, was near the wall and I kept knocking my hand on it, you think I would learn after the first one but my brian seems to have turned to mush! Completed, won’t be making the class I miss yesterday that can wait for another day.
Day 13 – 6pm class – Went for a long morning walk in the countryside then had a good class. I had my Natural Electrolyte Drink prior to class and powered through.
Day 14 – 12noon and 8pm Class – Made up for Fridays class today. Started taking my Longevity Power Mushroom Immunity before class it is giving me fantastic focus. I’m loving my practice and look forward to it each day.
Day 15 – 10am Class – Good class – I seem to have less and less sugar cravings and wanting to eat more whole foods.
Day 16 – 12noon – Power hour also did the Fitbrit Challange today.
Day 17 – 10am – loved it need to work on my standing head to knee posture.
Day 18 – 6pm – Candle light class – Bliss
Day 19 – 12noon – Day 19, wow its gone so fast don’t really want it to end. Power hour – all the 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises done in sixty minutes amazing class all postures done to my best. whoop whoop.

Day 22 – 10am – I did it.

Day 27 – Traveling
Day 28 – 12noon and 8pm – Loved being back missed practicing
Day 29 – 10am and 5pm – two a day becoming normal – have upped my protein intake and always having a shake after each class wondering why it’s taken nearly all month to do this!?
Day 30 – 12noon and 6pm and 30 day Challenge party time – Thanks for having me Bikram Yoga Bournemouth it’s like a little family down there, come join!
1st October – Day off Bikram! but missed it, was nice to not wash my hair.
