Today’s post is the little different…. I’m not showing you a new workout or any functional clothing it’s all about Gym Hair!
I am totally lazy with my hair and this blog is just as much for you lovelies as it is me.
My hair routine consists of a comb, hair straighter, Klorane Dry shampoo all tied back with Miti Hair Ties. When I wash it I always spray with Schwarzkopf Bonacure Moisture kick before Blow drying and after I use Sebastian Dark hair oil. It’s basically the minimum I can do without the blonde hair turning into a dreaded frizz ball. So this week I have help from the lovely Dominique from The Hair Studio and Tanyth to create a few Gym hair styles you can do yourself in less than 5 minutes…. you might need to practice a little but they are all super easy.
The Ponytail twist: Hair up in a ponytail and make a hole and twist it through the middle.
The quiff ponytail 3 ways: Leave a V in the front section of your hair like the below photo then put the rest of your hair in a ponytail, then brush back the front section towards the roots of the hair to give it volume, then smooth out the top of the front section and pin it into the ponytail. Then you can choose to leave it out, do a fishtail braid or a plat (see the three options below).
French Braid: This one’s my favorite for Bikram Yoga. It keeps all your hair out of your face! Do a french braid toward the left side, you have the option to leave it like that or you turn it into a messy braid by carefully pulling the outside braid out. Another option is to just braid the head and leave the messy in a low ponytail (see the three options below).
The half up messy bun: This is my favorite if your going straight out for coffee with a friend after a workout. Pull the top half of your hair up and put in a hair tie. Take the ponytail and brush toward it to give it volume and wrap the hair around itself to make a bun and pin into place.
The Alys band Braid: This is my favorite and is going to take a little practice to master. This style is great if you have lots of little fly away hairs like I do. Take the front section of your hair and braid an upside down plat, this will give it a headband look. Then do what you wish with the rest of the hair depending on your workout.
Thank you for reading lovelies!
